SVG to PNG converter

Turn an SVG file into a PNG, JPEG or WebP image at exactly the size you need. Your file is drawn by your own browser and is not uploaded.

How to convert SVG to PNG

1. Click the upload button to choose an .svg file, or paste SVG code into the box under the preview. 2. Choose the output format: PNG keeps transparency, JPEG makes smaller files for photos, and WebP is a modern format that is small and supports transparency. 3. Pick a scale such as 2x or 4x, or set an exact width in pixels. 4. Choose a transparent background or a solid colour. 5. Click download.

If the preview says the SVG is invalid or unsafe, the code is broken or contains scripts. FreeSVG removes scripts and other active content before it shows or converts any SVG, to keep you safe.

Which size should I choose?

For websites and social media, 1x or 2x of the original size is usually enough. For print, a common rule is 300 pixels per inch: a 10 cm wide print needs roughly 1200 pixels. Because SVG is a vector format, a larger export does not lose quality, it only makes a bigger file.

Why convert SVG at all?

Some apps, marketplaces and social networks do not accept SVG uploads. A PNG or WebP copy works almost everywhere while you keep the SVG as your master file.
