SVG optimizer

Make SVG files smaller and tidier. Design apps often leave comments, hidden metadata and long decimal numbers in SVG code that browsers do not need.

How to optimise an SVG

1. Upload an .svg file or paste SVG code into the input box. 2. Choose what to clean: remove comments, remove editor metadata (for example from Illustrator, Inkscape or Sketch), round numbers to fewer decimal places, and squeeze out extra whitespace. 3. Check the live preview and the size savings. 4. Copy the cleaned code or download it as a new .svg file.

Will it change how my SVG looks?

Removing comments, metadata and whitespace does not change the picture. Rounding numbers can shift very small details, so if your artwork is tiny or very precise, use more decimal places and compare the preview before you download. Always keep your original file as a backup.

Why smaller SVGs matter

Smaller files load faster on websites, which helps visitors on slow connections and can help search rankings. Clean code is also easier to edit by hand, for example to change a colour or add a class for CSS styling.
